Patrick Cronin

Bio

Pat Cronin is the Assistant Director at IEI. He works with IEI’s director and talented staff to identify, define and develop the work of the Institute in ways that fuel collaboration and build ownership for action among IEI’s stakeholders.

Pat is originally from Minnesota but made his way to NC as fast as he could. He received a B.A. from Middlebury College and an M.A. and Ph.D. in political science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Prior to joining IEI in 2007, Pat spent ten years on the faculty at the Thunderbird School of Global Management in Arizona. He enjoys being on his bike, walking on the Raleigh greenways and reading science fiction and thrillers (at the moment). Pat and spouse Elizabeth Hudgins are new empty-nesters, with son Aidan living close by in Raleigh.
