The Institute for Emerging Issues (IEI) at North Carolina State University invites applications for the Governor and Mrs. James B. Hunt Internship Program. This is a program for NC State undergraduates who are interested in a career in public service and/or public policy.
Who We Are
Established in 2002, IEI is a non-partisan public policy organization that exists to enhance North Carolina’s long-term prosperity. We identify and build awareness of policy issues across sectors, regions, and perspectives. We find important issues that are not being discussed, are not moving forward in a timely way, or could benefit from a bigger platform. We develop consensus for action and catalyze progress in moving change forward. Governor James B. Hunt, Jr. (1977-1985, 1993-2001) served as the founding chair of IEI’s National Advisory Board until 2014.
