“Think & Do” with Rural Faith
As a “Think & Do“ tank, we’re always learning from and with North Carolinians. Here are two ways to dive into what’s happening in rural North Carolina with faith communities this summer:

There’s been a lot in the news lately about youth mental health:
- “Youth mental health crisis is “the next wave of the pandemic,” Duke psychiatrist says
- Supporting students: What’s next for mental health
- Rural NC county puts trauma front and center to heal community
Our partners at EdNC reported back in April that, “North Carolina is ranked 42nd for its quality of youth mental health, according to Mental Health America’s 2022 State of Mental Health in America report.” We’re collecting stories of how you’re caring about youth mental health in your rural faith communities. Reach out to kdfoley@ncsu.edu with your stories.
Do
We’d love to hear from rural faith leaders on our Faith & Community Priorities & Interests Survey.
We’re loving the answers about what you’re seeing and dreaming in your community relationships and would love to hear more!
