Meredith College undergraduate student Freya Dahlgren joins IEI’s staff as the Faith & Community Initiative Intern. In this role, Freya will implement plans for Faith & Community events and work on connecting communities to faith organizations.

What interests you about working with IEI as the Faith and Community intern?
I am interested in exploring how connections to faith organizations can foster a sense of community, especially in rural areas, in either a secular or religious setting.
What do you believe is the biggest emerging issue facing our state?
I think the biggest emerging issue facing our state is LGBTQ+ inclusion and bills targeting our Trans community.
