Tim Young

Bio

Tim Young is the Director of Development for the Institute for Emerging Issues (IEI) and Shelton Leadership Center (SLC). He serves as the chief development officer for these two units by providing leadership and strategic direction for all IEI and SLC fundraising activities.

Tim is a native North Carolinian, born in Raleigh and raised in Louisburg. He previously worked in development in Student Affairs at UNC-Chapel Hill and at Duke University’s Sanford School of Public Policy. He received a bachelor’s degree from Campbell University, a master’s degree from NC State University, and a master’s degree from Duke University. He enjoys running, anything outdoors, spending time with family, and his dog.

Tim has been with IEI since 2023.
