How Can YOU Help? Take This Survey.
How many North Carolinians lack access to an internet connection at their home or place of business? For those with access, is it sufficient to meet their needs? These are questions many local and statewide advocates and policy leaders want answers to as they look to close the digital divide–yet nearly all acknowledge that the FCC data is limited.
In response, the Broadband Infrastructure Office at the NC Department of Information Technology, in partnership with the Friday Institute at NC State University, is conducting a brief survey to gather household and business-level internet connectivity data. The data will be used to inform research, POLICY and FUNDING recommendations to assist communities in need of better internet access. The survey should take no more than five-minutes to complete and includes an optional internet speed test.
