Future Forward Housing
Feb. 17, 2027
McKimmon Center
As North Carolina’s population continues to grow, housing affordability, supply shortages and a shrinking skilled workforce pose challenges for meeting residents’ needs. The 2027 Emerging Issues Forum: Future Forward Housing will bring together industry experts, researchers, policymakers and community leaders from across perspectives to examine this issue and develop recommendations to better prepare our state to respond to this critical need.
The 2027 Emerging Issues Forum is the third and final installment in the Institute for Emerging Issues’ three-year forum series: Future Forward Infrastructure, which has engaged stakeholders from across the state to examine key infrastructure needs, identify best policies and practices to meet them and take advantage of the economic development opportunities the new infrastructure generates.
Your support will help make the forum and related work around the issue of housing possible.
“I deeply enjoyed the resources to help me understand the various aspects of this topic beforehand and during the forum, as well as the friendly faces, and panels from various professionals across the field.”
