Rosie Thyne is the 2025-2026 Hunt Intern at IEI. She is on the Policy and Programs team supporting content development for the 2026 Emerging Issues Forum on North Carolina’s water infrastructure.
Rosie is from Huntersville, NC. She is a junior at NC State working towards a B.S. in Environmental Science and a B.A. in Spanish. She also spent a semester studying abroad at the Universidad San Francisco de Quito in Ecuador. Previously, Rosie has worked as an on-campus tutor and as a volunteer at organizations in her hometown, including the Carolina Raptor Center, Refugee Support Services and Catawba Riverkeeper.
In her free time, Rosie enjoys reading, writing, baking, and traveling and also loves Star Wars. When away from school, Rosie lives with her parents, brother, newly-adopted puppy (Elsa) and newly-disgruntled cat (Mr. Mouse).
Rosie has been with IEI since 2025.
