Jess Epsten
Bio
Jess Epsten is the Digital Inclusion Initiative Lead at IEI. They manage the BAND-NC program, which supports digital inclusion planning and implementation efforts across the state through organizing convenings and providing technical assistance and resources to digital inclusion leaders.
Jess is from Durham, NC. Jess received their undergraduate degree in Urban Studies from Barnard College and their Masters in Library Science from UNC-Chapel Hill. A librarian by trade, Jess has worked in public and academic libraries and nonprofits. Prior to becoming a librarian, they ran a small farm with their partner. Jess loves plants, baseball, astrology, birding, making zines and their cat Pluto.
Jess has been with IEI since 2023.
