ReCONNECT to Technological Opportunity

Faith leader registration for ReCONNECT to Technological Opportunity is OPEN as of today! We have faith leader seats set aside for Duke Endowment eligible clergy, laity, partners, and other faith leaders. Sign up today (including hotel) to reserve your spot (you’ll need to click the link for EACH registration – do not “add guest” under registration or CVENT will try to charge you).

At the ReCONNECT to Technological Opportunity Forum on February 10 in Raleigh, participants will explore what their communities can do to leverage high speed Internet in an equitable way. We will start the day by entering a “time machine” to the future, to a time when everyone has access to broadband. We will hear how both rural and urban communities are using broadband for economic growth. Faith leaders are invited to a special Rural Faith Leader Gathering on February 11 at NC State to continue our collective learning.

About the Forum

IEI’s signature event is our Emerging Issues Forums. Due to the generous support of The Duke Endowment (TDE), IEI can provide a number of full-cost scholarships to our Forums for faith leaders from TDE-eligible congregations and other faith leaders.

The ReCONNECT NC initiative involves IEI exploring the root causes of disconnection and working with citizens and organizations across the state to identify solutions for restoring civic health. Let’s work together while addressing some of our state’s most pressing issues at six forums over three years.

Faith leaders are invited to attend our one-day Forums across the state as well as join other faith leaders for a half-day gathering following the Forum to talk about our ReCONNECT topic impacts our communities.

TDE — eligible faith leaders (clergy and laity) are provided free registration, free lodging, and meals included. There are limited scholarships available for other North Carolina faith leaders as well.
