Summary: How do you keep people’s attention in a discarded world? There is the “addiction” model of telling people what they want to know, watch or listen, and then offer them a series of escalating rewards. A different approach is to ask people what they really care about and believe in or are curious about and then provide a variety of ways to share it with them.
