NC Ecological Flows Science Advisory Board Report

In 2010, the General Assembly directed the creation of an Ecological Flows Science Advisory Board (EFSAB) to assist the NC Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) in characterizing the ecology of the state’s river basins and identifying the flows necessary to maintain ecological integrity. After three years of work, the SAB produced a report in October 2013. This meeting gave participants a chance to hear from the EFSAB about its work, to hear from DENR about its plan for use of the EFSAB report and to discuss the report with others while providing feedback to the EFSAB and to DENR about the report and its use.
